The man is said to have used a kitchen knife to cut the throats of the children and take their lives away in the dead of the night.
Confirming the incident, Bomet County Police Commander Edward Imbwaga stated that the suspect committed the offense for reasons that remain unclear.
He stated that they received alarming information from the area chief indicating that the man had taken the lives of two young girls.
Imbwaga stated that the police were promptly dispatched to the village and successfully arrested him, taking him to the Konoin police station for processing.
“He took the knife and cut their throats one after the other. We don’t know the motive of the murder, but we shall interrogate him before presenting him to the court,” he explained.
He said that the police would commence investigations on the unfortunate incident to unravel the cause of the murder before presenting him to the court of law on Monday for prosecution.
“We also took the kitchen knife used in the murder as an exhibit in the case, and it is now in the safe custody of the police,” he concluded
