In a shocking and disturbing turn of events, a pastor was abducted in Kaduna, sparking widespread outrage and concern. The kidnappers have now made a chilling demand, seeking a ransom of N100m for the safe release of the revered cleric. As the community holds its breath, awaiting the pastor’s safe return, this incident highlights the growing insecurity and the urgent need for collective action to ensure the safety of citizens and protect the rights of individuals.

Kidnappers have demanded a ransom of ₦100 million for the release of Pastor Samson Ndah Ali, a 30-year-old cleric with the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), who was abducted in Maraba Aboro, located in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Pastor Samson Ndah Ali was abducted from his residence in the early hours of Monday by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, who stormed his compound around 1 a.m. and whisked him away to an unknown location.

Confirming the incident, the financial secretary of the church, Mallam Yusuf Ambi, said he had spent the previous evening with the pastor. He recounted receiving a distress call early the next morning, notifying him of the abduction.

He recounted, ‘I rushed to his solitary residence and found the doors standing wide open. Despite checking every room, he was nowhere to be seen.’”

Ambi further stated that the abductors had contacted them, demanding a N100 million ransom for Pastor Ali’s release, and that negotiations were ongoing.

He also noted that Pastor Ali, who is from the Danji community of Ungwan Mailafiya, had been recently posted to the church, less than two weeks before the abduction.

To secure the release of the abducted cleric, a collaborative rescue operation has been launched by a joint team of security operatives comprising the Nigerian Army, the police, and the Department of State Services (DSS).

When reached for comment, the spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Mansir Hassan, pledged to provide a response.
