Police officers in the FCT have fired teargas at “Fearless In October” protest over bad governance in Abuja today October 1.

The protesters had gathered at the Utako area in Abuja, waving the Nigerian Green-White-Green flag and placards with various inscriptions such as “EndBadGovernance”, “DiasporaVoting”, and “EndHighLivingCosts”, amongst others, but were dispersed by policemen.


Videos shared online show the protesters running helter-skelter after the teargas were fired to disperse them.
